“What important question are we not asking?”
_ Frederi⏀ue T.

// Questankh

We live in a world that constantly demands answers, meanings, and opinions. From an early age, the natural ability to question—a skill that flourishes in childhood— is gradually suppressed. We are trained to respond rather than to inquire. Yet the act of questioning is the foundation of all creativity, personal growth, and scientific discovery.

Albert Einstein once remarked that if he were given an hour to solve a problem on which his life depended, he would spend the first 55 minutes formulating the right questions. This highlights a crucial truth: asking the right questions is often more important than having immediate answers.

Embedded within the word "question" is the word "quest." In the greatest mythological quests—journeys of individuation and reconciliation—the overwhelming forces of nature are not tamed by definitive answers but by the process of asking the right questions. These questions, when allowed to unfold in their own time, reveal answers in multiple ways and forms, reshaping both the seeker and the journey itself.

A good question does not demand an answer but instead opens up a field of possibilities, sparking creativity, exploration, and deeper understanding.

ABOUT THE QUESTANKH SESSION

The Questankh is a space for individuals, teams, or groups to engage in a process of deep, exploratory questioning. In this guided session, participants shift from answer-driven thinking to question-driven inquiry, unlocking new perspectives and possibilities. Whether focused on a specific project, strategy, or an open-ended quest, the session encourages divergent thinking and creative problem-solving.

The Questankh is ideal for businesses, creative teams, or individuals seeking to uncover new insights, generate innovative solutions, or rethink any aspect of their personal or professional journey. It's less about finding the right answer and more about opening doors to new ways of seeing and thinking.

STRUCTURE OF THE QUESTANKH SESSION

  1. Introduction (15-20 minutes): A deep dive into the philosophy and methodology behind questioning, with examples from Socratic inquiry to open-ended and mythological quests. The introduction sets the tone by explaining the value of questions as openings rather than destinations.
  2. Quest Process (55 minutes): Participants will be guided through a collaborative process of asking questions. This segment will foster open-ended inquiry, allowing participants to approach their chosen topics (or life itself) from new angles. The facilitator will steer the group without dictating the direction, ensuring that the process remains generative and creative.
  3. Closing Reflection (15-20 minutes): In this final stage, participants reflect on the questions they've uncovered. The closing focuses on how these inquiries can continue to evolve and shape future projects, strategies, or personal paths.

OUTPUTS

The transformative questions and insights from the QuestTankh can be synthesized into reports and content, offering thought leadership and actionable frameworks.
